The Fire Shield Wildland CT Ion Mask Wpi is one of the top performance boots in the Magnum Fire Fighting footwear series. The Fire Shield is certified to Type 1/Class 1 standard - AS/NZS 4821:2006. Full-Grain fire retardant leather upper, made from the finest leathers, are clean natural hides which have not been sanded to remove imperfections. The grain remains in its natural state which will allow the best fiber strength, resulting in greater durability. The natural grain also has natural breathability, resulting in greater comfort. The finest leather footwear is made from Full-Grain leathers.
ION-MASK™ WATERPROOF (WPi)
All products featuring this Technology are waterproof. The ion-mask™ process impregnates every fibre of material naturally Instead of limiting the breathability of the materials by using standard waterproofing technologies, WPi boots are just as breathable as non-waterproof boots. There is no membrane barrier to inhibit breathability of the boot. Ion Mask Technology also offers protection against Blood Bourne Pathogen.

TUFF-TEC SCUFF TOE
The Tuff-Tec scuff toe offers protection against damage to the leather at the front of the boot. It is highly durable and helps to prolong the life of the boot.
CAMBRELLE® MOISTURE-WICKING LINING
Protecting the foot climate - The bi-component fibres in Cambrelle® allow the lining to constantly adapt to the motion of the foot and the footwear, whilst providing the
highest level of abrasion resistance. Cambrelle® also has countless microscopic air pockets that not only allow air to circulate but add to the cushioning effect to create a constant, comfortable micro-climate around the foot. Staying cool - Cambrelle® lining constantly transports moisture away from the foot, storing it away and releasing
it back into the environment when the footwear is removed. Cambrelle® is so efficient at moisture management that it is fully capable of absorbing three-and-a-half times its own weight in moisture keeping the foot cooler, drier, and more comfortable. Appearance is everything - Cambrelle® not only keeps the feet dry, cool, and comfortable, it also protects the footwear itself as it is so effective at dispersing moisture. The lining also helps to prevent staining of the upper caused by excess moisture and prevents the build up of bacteria that can cause mildew, rot and odour.
ORTHOLITE® HEAT RESISTANT FOOTBED
Ortholite® footbeds provide highly resilient support and cushioning for much longer than conventional footbeds while fighting odour with an environmentally friendly biocide treatment. Ortholite® quality footbeds utilise a specialist foam material crafted from an open cell polyurethane layer which has been proven to retain 95% of its cushioning after the first year, opposed to the 30% of some of EVA footbeds. Ortholite’s® open cell foam is also lightweight and breathable, allowing air to pass through the shoe and excess heat and moisture to escape for cool comfort. Treated with an environmentally friendly biocide, Ortholite® footbeds are also anti-microbial.
Magnum use the highest density Ortholite® – OrthoLite®13, which offers optimum levels of breathability, moisture transport, and anti-microbial function to create a cooler, drier, and healthier environment inside the boot. In addition, the very low compression set of this formulation guarantees that the comfort and integrity of the OrthoLite® material will remain consistent throughout the life of the product.
- With heavy use, the surface of the materials may become blocked with dirt and may require cleaning to ensure the technology retains its functionality.
- If your boots do need cleaning, gently apply a soft, water-damp cloth to the area. A gentle dabbing action should remove the foreign particles and fully drying the
product in a warm area (not too hot) will regenerate the liquid repellency.
- Do not use any alcohol based fluids/chemicals for cleaningon any boots with ion-mask™ technology, as this will deteriorate the technology’s effectiveness. Most ion-mask™products wipe clean easily without such solvents.
- Please do not machine wash. Polishing/shining boots willnot have a negative effect on the ion-mask™ technology. Standard boot care products are available from mostfootwear retailers
